Post Revert price of Raven
Is this an improvement to an already-existing feature, or a new feature entirely?
Improvement.

If an improvement, what original feature is it improving upon?
The price of a Raven, and actually see it being used.

How would this work?
Putting the price of the Raven to its old amount, $1000, or at least $1100.

Can you give an example in how useful this feature would be?
Really now, do you think someone would rather spend $1200 on a Raven or get a Commando for $1000? Or the much more powerful Wolverine for $1250? The Raven's weaponry (including its speed) is about on par with the Commando's.

Besides, who would choose a Raven if it was only 50$ less than the much more powerful Wolverine? Paying just as much money for the Wolverine, with highly inferior weaponry, is just strange. Having the lower price would be more logical for its strength. Its role is a cheap but weak mech.

Agreed, I'd rather get a Wolverine for that price.

Agreed, I'd go Commando.

Another thing I was thinking about would to be increase the damage on other mechs with the AC2.

A raven of the power that they are at now used to actually cost $1400, because you'd have to buy the grease. It did not come free like it does now.

Unless you're happy with weapon jams coming back? I haven't removed that code yet...

When I revamped the Raven weapon system (changed it so that primary shoots AC2 and alternate shoots LRMs), I purged the jamming code. So no matter what there could be jamming the thing, the bug's gone with the next release.

Oh yeah. Well, my point still stands; would you pay 1400$ for a rather weak and easily taken down machine, or 1250$ for something a good deal sturdier and heavily armed?

IMO that's like paying more for an Orca than a Titan because it flies and moves faster, and its guns would need grease. It's exaggerated, but that's what I mean.

Plus, just because it was in a past version doesn't mean it's the best choice.

I'm not attempting to be rude, Eru, but I'm just trying to make a point.

My Idea:
Raven: $1000 - Closer to its original price. I also am not 100% sure, but didn't AC2 in Mechwarrior not require grease?
Orca: $1250 - Mainly because it can be much more useful than a raven most of the time.
Wolverine: $1500 - Seems a little powerful for $1250

Madcat, Titan and Juggernaut should stay the same.

If the Wolverine would cost 1500 I would buy a Madcat :P
-> The wolverine isnt too powerful if you remember that you can get a Madcat for 1750 which is A LOT stronger

To tell you the truth: I was never in a Raven. I should try him out in Single Player at least. I want to see his weapons at least once ^^

And thats really because the Wolverine is much stronger (That the Raven is much weaker you see it with ease, or especially when you fight against it  )

I think 1050 or 1100 would fit more to him.

I killed easily a Raven using the Orca. Just spamming rockets and mingun. So I agree with DS prices.

Shits looks good

Make the utility mechs a research, so they can stay the same price.

Do you think that the Titan is it worth to cost 1000 more than a Madcat? Is it really so much better? I guess the proportion like it is atm, is somewhat more fair, because me personally thinks the Titan is not that much better than a madcat.
There are even people who prefer the Madcat over the titan.

Fixed. If Orcas are so equal to Ravens in terms of strength, they should be around the same price, if not exactly the same price.

IMO They are equal.
The Orca only carries a slow-firing missile pod and a somewhat weak machine gun. Its health is half of the Raven's, also. But, it has much better mobility and flight, which means it can dodge most high-powered weapons so they last longer.
The Raven has LRMS-5 (which is basically an unhoming missile turret) and AC2 (devastating against infantry, but slow fire rate). The health is double that of the Orca, but it needs it, since it can't strafe to dodge plasma cannons and massdrivers.

Plus, I see Orca spam a lot. Simply because they are so cheap.

Meh, Ravens are good paired with a Medic though. Me and this one Raven completely rampaged the Red base in Glacier for a good 10 minutes before we died. He actually protected me from attackers though, so it was more skill than anything.

I'm thinking we should bring the AC2 upgrade back, just like before.

Sounds good to me. And yeah, Titans are worth the $1000 more, they've got more health than Madcats and they can practically snipe with the 80mm cannon.
