I'm still interested in playing. Sign me up to a team please (preferably one with good players) on second thoughts, maybe stalin can pick team members in all teams from those interested to balance the team abiliities across all the teams. Otherwise we will have very weak teams and very strong ones. I think some players fear this aspect and wont sign up to be placed on the 'noob' team and used as target practice by pro players. Teams should have a mix of abilities: pro players should be mixed with noob players.

The way the new version of aow2 playes will suit the tounament better now: obelisk isnt so vulnerable, harvesting and util are faster which will suit a single harvester/util person.

I might have to resign from this tourney. For one, I can't get on IRC. I know exactly why I can not get on IRC, and it is something that can not be fixed. Also, I am not very good with schedules. My daily life is very dynamic, and unpredictable. I can never assure with accuracy that I am able to stay online for a certain amount of time. People might have seen me be AFK for quite some time. This is because I am not given enough time to spectate (even though I have that command bound to a key)

My computer overheats some times and randomly shuts down as well. I have serious lag sometimes, usually resulting in a crash.

I just wanted to be in the tourney because I did not want to be seen as "THAT GUY" who everyone hates...

1. Go software, dammit. And if it overheats, cap the framerate, that helps.

2. Wtf? You think you'll be hated because you're not playing in a tournament?

My computer overheats because my room is extremely hot. Even if it does not, I may lag out. If I do lag out, well, I dunno what to say...

Also, if my family needs me for something, I have no choice but to do it. My mom does not like me playing on the computer, mostly because of my brother.

I hope I can stay in the tournament...

Buy a small electric fan and place it at the back of your system unit to cool it down....or if laptop get one of those fans you put under the machine to cool it.

I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but I need to bring this back up. My computer has been shutting down randomly, as you all know. Lately, it has been occurring more often than usual. I have figured out that the thermal paste, or what ever it's called, has started to melt. This problem, along with a crappy heat sync and fan, has been slowly killing my processor. I can not risk killing my computer, as I can not afford another one. I am already taking a great risk posting this reply. I will be inactive for quite some time, mostly trying to fix this problem. Because of this, I can not join the tournament. This is an unexpected disaster, and I can not help it any time soon.

The temperatures displayed in red text are that of my processor, a Pentium 4. As you can see, the above temperatures are dangerously high for my computer. In fact, once my computer reaches 70 degrees Celsius, it automatically shuts down.

How the shit is this happening? The fans might be clogged or broken, it may have dust build-up, it might have a bad heatsink, it might have no air circulation due to blocked vents. Whatever it is, it's killing that thing.

if you dont ahev alot of dust or sth, try putlling the entire thing out. it will help ventilation greatly
there are 2 drawbacks to this, tho: you may mess something up, or the vibrations of the hard drive spining will mess thigs up
altermnitely you could scrape off the thermal stuff on your heatsink and replace it, or just get a new fan.
