Post Place some Remote C4 where your enemy least expects it.
Your typical average AOW player generally focuses on the fight and the targets surrounding him. Now what if he was in a cave chasing your other average AOW player frantically getting away with selfheal being used, you'd have an ally (or yourself) setup a nice trap wouldn't he?

Point being is: Try sticking some remoteC4 on the ceilings in areas where they least would pay attention to. Normally people check the ground for any and tend to stay away, making the trap useless. Give ceilings a shot and hope they fall into their explosive death. :)

The chances of someone walking RIGHT INTO the ONE SPECIFIC PLACE you set up your trap are, let me put it up like this:

GOD FUCKING DAMN LOW

As for the ceiling trick, maybe at the entrances to the caves in AOW07, it might work. Even then it's going to be a great big PITA to time it exactly so as to get your new "predator" blasted, without blasting you with him.

But usually most maps have heights way too high for the explosion not to become a big deal weaker. (Falloff is not based on range, unfortunately.)

Not to mention potential misses, which would almost guaranteeingly (is that even a word) result in you getting slaughtered like a sheep, because for one;

Pulling out the remote c4 switch takes time, and if you don't - you suddenly become absolutely helpless, except for that very doubtfully successful trap you have all the way over there.

Second, the detonation takes a shitload of time, which makes timing really hard. And third, not last - the pressing of the switch takes it's sweet time, too.
So as to leave you helpless for another 3+ seconds (press, waaaait, deselect, select.) of beating.

So yes, interesting idea. But chances of it working are still very slim, due to the current implementation of RC4.

rC4's pretty clunky. If they were were less floaty and "flew" more like standard C4 they'd be quicker and more accurate to place.

I dunno, it's useful for blowing shit up, but not other people. If you know exactly where a mech's going, four of them can oneshot a Madcat or at least a Wolv. But that only happened on AOW04 when it was trying to pointblank kill the Obelisk.

Not to mention they're kind of hard to miss and enemies usually back out/charge through them before you can detonate them.

What if it had a lower delay between pressing the trigger and it blowing up?

May be low but, sometimes can be a last resort if used quick enough, depending on the situation.

I admit it is fairly nice to cockblock Mechs at chokepoints when they see them. They have to find another route or take 2500+ damage.
