AOW2 doesn't have the flamer active sound anymore, nor have I seen this bug repeat since then. If you notice any sound problems with the flamer, feel free to create another bug report.

I'm quite certain he means the active firing loop, which, if you only fire one "puff" before letting go of the trigger, doesn't stop the sound loop from stopping. Then, it continues until the player fires again or switches weapons.

It's more of a Skulltag thing than anything else, Skulltag has always had problems with looped sounds not terminating properly.
