 Re: AOW06 - Floating City
It is innovative and has some cool parts, but I think it can get very campy in some spots. Even though it is open, snipers do not fully dominate this due to the secondary road. The only real thing I hate about the map is that has only one enterance to the base interior, but I assume that making a secondary enterance would probably require some balance considerations and such. It is very different than aow06 which was often spam reliant and having stalled matches when the teams are bigger than 8v8 (I've witnessed 2-3 hour matches going on in there.) I do hate the fact that this map lags, sometimes heavily on bigger matches. Overall it is cool, the dimensions could be a little smaller but not too cramped, I think this is going to the right direction.

Noticed a flickering sky when walking near the lookout tower

 Re: AOW06 - Floating City
I don't like this map. Mainly because the brightness of the sky and the darkness of the landscape makes it hard to see things. However, considering it looks like it's supposed to be sunset, I think it's supposed to be that way.

It's far too open for my tastes. For an infantry-only map this has hallways the size of Manhattan.

That too. I didn't think about that... I feel mechs should be allowed on this map.

 Re: AOW06 - Floating City
IMO the map is far too big. Look at the architecture of some of the buildings, they are ROFLSIZE. Could also use some cover along the roads like vehicles, crates, solid bunker walls, etc...

 Re: AOW06 - Floating City
If that happens, it'll be a curved Renegade :/

 Re: AOW06 - Floating City
A curved Renegade is better than a striaght Renegade. Projectiles spam has a hard time turning 90 degrees around corners, doesn't it. At least this map has the height variation to counter ground spammers.
Iirc the entire point of this map was to be a fix to Renegade, before the big revamp happened.
