Post Custom Crosshairs
Actually I have two questions: how to made images for them and how to place them ingame. Medic I have read your post that you have written long ago, there was many different crosshairs such as medic logo etc.. I simple haven't found anything about this by googling. I would like to put glowy dot crosshair to replace that default cross-dot crosshair since I am mainly gauss player. I appreciate your help.

I know the rest > crosshair #number (in console)
just I want to exec that wad when playing AOW2 on our Grandvoid server since it is required. I got "couldn't exec" by answer in console. Little help please.

Old, but answering for others asking the same thing.

Doom can't load wads midgame. They have to be loaded in order when booting up. Wads in your Skulltag/skins folder are always loaded up when Skulltag starts. Therefore, put your crosshairs wad in that folder, and it'll load every time.

Exec in skulltag is for loading config files, scripts, and executing commands, not wads or pk3's.

This topic can be informative for other AOW2 players that didn't use the skulltag forums before, or just haven't found the thread. I'd rather sticky this, but I don't know if others are fine with that.

I'd say just leave it. Other topics will surpass this eventually, thus "archiving" this.

I might as well link to the thread Ermac is talking about, especially since there's people who don't know what/where Zan is.

http://zandronum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=74 Here's the reticule/crosshair pack.

Post Re: Custom Crosshairs
Hi, I have a question :)

First: Medicris, I like your customs crosshairs. Keep doing new ones, never is enough XD

So, I tried do a custom Crosshair by myself. Just to know how to do it :)

I did it first with Paintbrush

100*100 pixels
A drew with black color.
A saved in PNG.

When I tried to use it I saw a green shadow square.

Later I tried with Photoshop.
100*100 pixels
I select Background Transparency
A drew with black color.
A saved in PNG.

And I have the same result. Here I left a Image how it looks:

http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/9784/c ... ledlol.png

Why happened that?

I used the program "Extendable Wad Editor 1.16" to make the wad.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
May can tell me what is my mistake?

Thank you.

Regards.

You can use either black or background transparency for well... transparent pixels. Draw in white.

XWE (eXtendable Wad Editor) converts any graphic you import into Doom format. Personally, I'd highly recommend Slade3 over XWE, it's the same project with Slade being the newer name. That, and it'll accept PNGs no problem.
