I'd like to inform you that my server provider is moving to a new data center.
Maybe this helps routing to my server for some of you so that you get better ping.

They want to do this at the time of 10th November 11:30 PM to 11th November 8:00 AM (german timezone. I dont know which time it means for you). They think they'll manage it much faster though.

That means of course that my Killer Instinct server is offline for that time.

They said to me I should shutdown the server before 11:30 PM, so that running processes can be closed correctly instead of abruptly killing them. I want it this way too.
I'll try to shutdown the server lately and so that no one is playing at this moment. But this will be not easy I guess, because at this time there are often lots of players. But we'll see.

naturally I'm sleeping at night

That means I cant promise when I startup the server again. It will be at morning/forenoon.


So just you're informed about this.

You're one hour ahead of GMT. So 10/11 10:30 PM to 11/11 7:00 AM GMT - people can figure it out from there.

I've yesterday moved to a better machine.

The OLD was:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3400+ (Dualcore)
2 GB DDR 2
320 GB, 5400 rpm HDD

The NEW one:

Intel Xeon X3440 (Quadcore)
8 GB DDR 3
2TB, 7200 rpm HDD

I feel a great speed increase here, maybe you feel a difference with skulltag too

Thanks for upgrading Demon. The old server seemed like it was desynching a lot, also over time I found my frame rate getting worse under OpenGL. After awhile anything more than 5v5 I would have to switch back to software because I would get a very inconsistent FPS. My PC for skulltag is a bit underpowered but I never had problems before, since the upgrade I can now play OpenGL again with a nearly a full server! THANKS!
